It is possible that her agent rejected the offer on her behalf without telling her. Her initial choice was made by Glen Larson who sent her an initial script for the role on the 1978 TV series Battlestar Galactica. She initially rejected the part because she felt the character was weak. Glen wrote an entirely different character to play Sheba, which was much more powerful. The Living Legend's first 25-page script was read by her, and she immediately endorsed it. The show lasted only one season. She was in Joyride in a film from 1977 with Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) and together with Robert Carradine. In 1987 she appeared alongside Michael Moriarty and The Dark Tower.
